English Poetry: Texts and Forms

The present book entitled English Poetry: Texts and Forms is prepared with a view to meeting the challenges in a nut shell smoothly and qualitatively. This book comprises the forms of poetry; stanza forms; poetic devices; and prescribed texts of the poems; practical criticism; objective questions on the forms of poetry as well as on the prescribed texts. The explanatory notes, explanations and rhetorical devices are stressed in the poems for the smooth understanding of the poems. This book belongs to the category of secondary text because it does not hold original text, except the poems from the poets. We acknowledge our gratitude to all scholars, writers and critics whose works have greatly helped in the formation of this book. The book carries a select bibliography and list of sites at the end of the book. It is a matter of great privilege and delight to remove the hurdles from the path of learners of this specific course across the state universities and affiliated colleges under the policy of NEP 2020. It aims to provide success to its readers, students and learners.
